CNC Set Up Technician

CNC Set Up Operator Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. This is a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Duties:

- Set up and operate CNC machines (3 & 5 Axis Routers) to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances

 -Must know operating codes, such as: g and m codes, Mazatrol or Mastercam programming.
- Select the appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each job
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into the machine

-Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes

Qualifications:

- Familiar with CMS, Motion Master, DMS Machine/Fagor, Fanus, Osaid Controllers
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles and techniques
- Proficiency in basic math calculations and measurements
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Familiarity with programming languages used in CNC machining (e.g., M & G-codes)
- Mechanical knowledge of machine tools, tooling, fixtures, and power tools
- Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus
- Ability to operate a coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
